Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Technical Author to work at NATO NCIA in Brunssum, The Netherlands.

Responsibilities

The contractor shall report to the CSSC Engineering and Maintenance Branch under direction of EDCS Section head to guarantee DCIS platforms and associated equipment is able to support SLA requirements for NATO deployable and static CIS systems. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate with EMB Management and relevant Sections to assist with development and coordination of document and drawing requirements for projects and tasks involving multiple sections, to comply with Agency SLA requirements and supporting NCI Agency Configuration Management
• Maintain an awareness of systems including equipment status and tracking of future system activities (current operational status, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, exercises and testing)
• Ensures that technical manuals, documents, and drawings are kept current and advise if amendments are required. Follow the NCI Agency business model and existing management plans, policies and procedures and ensure that all work undertaken is authorized and correctly documented, providing drawing and technical documentation to Service owners, engineers and technicians and assisting in asset management with logistic handover / takeover handbooks and documents
• Provide weekly reports to EMB Management, RMB and daily reporting as necessary

Profile

• Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
• Experienced in use of ASD Simplified Technical English (ASDSTE100), formerly known as AECMA Simplified English and mandatory for writing aerospace and defense documentation
• Experienced in CAD demonstrated by vocational training in Autodesk Inventor knowledge or similar to at least Certified User level
• Proven experience in ADP demonstrating knowledge in Computer Essentials, Word Processing and IT Security. Proving experience in Microsoft Office and Visio applications with a working knowledge of typical design office user equipment
• Experience in the development and support for maintaining a documentation library for CIS assets and related project documents
• Proven ability to work with and create documentation such as Technical manuals, Network topologies (both physical and logical) and CIS handover/ takeover (HO/TO Manuals)
• Experience with using Graphical User Interface and command line interface applications and the reporting of details of hardware and software installed for configuration management
• Working knowledge or experience with the Oracle logistics tool (i.e. Oracle Order Management/Inventory Management)
• Show team spirit, demonstrating responsibility and preparing to eventually lead a team as well as being a team member knowing when to mentor and when to give space. Knowing how to use a team-member’s strengths and best to utilize their own strengths foe the benefit of the team
• Should demonstrate good communication skills able to explain concepts to clients and managers and provide instructions to colleagues customers delivering presentations and write clear-cut, non-ambiguous reports and documents
• Show critical thinking and problem-solving to approach every task and problem with an analytical mind taking minimum risks before deciding which solution is best
• They must be focused and demonstrating attention to detail from project concept and the problem-solving phases to the modelling and testing phases of the design
• Proven ability to give and receive feedback to understand their team just as well as they understand their projects
