Sapienza Consulting is recruiting for two Licence Managers, to join NATO NCIA in Brussels, Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor / Manage day to day activities of SAM team
  • Oversee purchase of all software licenses; ensure appropriate quantities and licensing models are purchased, determine contract requirements, ensure orders are placed and validate proper payment
  • Track and monitor resolution of compliance issues and provide reporting
  • Manage and help develop software Enterprise Agreements as needed with Acquisitions
  • Manage software license and media distribution
  • Manage pool of available software licenses
  • Assist in any required audit activities
  • Manage centralised procurement process, i.e. confirm eligibility of requests for centralised funding, or create Price Proposals (PP’s) and service support packages (SSP’s) and arrange for their fulfilment and distribution of licenses
  • Analyze new license contracts to determine compliance calculation rules
  • Manage software contracts and software change/service requests in ITSM / License Management tool / Site Certificates
  • Maintain relationship between software licenses and software contracts
  • Assist with and provide recommendations for ongoing process optimization
  • Manage software manufacturer licensing portals (Microsoft, Adobe, VMware etc.)
  • Provide the day to day support of the SAM Software Contracts and Software Licensing
  • Monitor processes and resolve issues that may arise
  • Manage and create purchase requisitions for the purchase of software in FINANCE SYSTEM
  • Manage and Receipting of software for invoice payments within FINANCE SYSTEM
  • Ensure adequate number and usage of licenses by monitoring, analyzing and optimizing
  • Work with Product Owners/Managers in negotiating license reductions / increases as necessary due to usage
  • Ensure retention of all proof-of-license documentation
  • Develop license templates/checklists, assess and participate in negotiating new software vendor license agreements, negotiate changes to existing agreements
  • Evaluate and recommend options to reduce licensing costs
  • Assist with the completion of Business Requirements, Business Cases, Project Charters and Proposals on new initiatives relative to licensing as required
  • Liaise with Product Owners/Managers, Inventory Management and business representatives to ensure proper tracking of all software product deployed to ensure OLG has sufficient licenses
  • Assist IT management in establishing license and associated maintenance agreements consistent with OLG’s current and planned usage, as well as industry practice
  • Research, evaluate, recommend and implement methods, policies, processes, best practices, techniques, technologies and tools for software license management

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • University or College Diploma in Computer studies or equivalent
  • Five to seven years of relevant Information Technology experience in medium to large system installation
  • Good organizational, analytical and customer service skills
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Process and results oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and determine priorities to meet deadlines
  • Pro-active, able to work using own initiative with minimal supervision managing numerous concurrent tasks
  • Expertise in software license management
  • Good knowledge of how software usage supports business functions and processes
  • Understanding of relevant software industry trends and issues, as well as vendor organizations and business practices within the field of software license management and compliance
  • Proficient understanding of financial concepts and practices as they relate to software license and contract management
  • Fundamental knowledge of inventory management processes and techniques
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, especially Excel
  • Working knowledge of asset management databases technologies and Service Management tools, i.e., SQL, MS Access
