Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Duty Control Officer/Registration Authority to work at NATO NCIA in Mons, Belgium

Responsibilities

  • Planning, management and control of NATO networks Admin smart cards
  • Performs day-to-day operations/management of ENPKI certificates
  • Performs duties as Duty Control Officer from extended hours battle rhythm to 24/7 shift system
  • Co-ordinates control of fault management for NATO CIS, acting as single point of contact in NCI Agency for CSUs, National control centers, any other control centers set up for operations and exercises and NATO operational community during non-working hours
  • Coordinates activation of network-wide actions to restore communications connectivity and monitoring, plans as they affect the network
  • Provides impact assessments on incidents (outages/degradation) of CIS services and coordinates Service Support Cells or any Service Line technician in directing corrective actions
  • Prepares and presents special summary briefings and status reports, every working day and as required
  • Supervises the contingency plan implementation/cessation activities for systems
  • Participates in the development and in the implementation of plans for the cut over of new systems, projects and facilities
  • Keeps special files or any other shared information systems updated, which contain user/subscriber information of assigned systems
  • The incumbent may be required to undertake operational deployments and/or TDY assignments either within or outside of NATO’s boundaries
  • The incumbent may be required to perform like duties elsewhere within organization as directed
  • Deputize for higher grade staff as required
  • Performs other duties as required

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • University Degree and 2 years function related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience
  • Staff with CIS planning experience in National or International HQ at divisional level or above are required
  • Experience in identifying and resolving complex problems and assignments, able to determine when problems should be escalated to a higher level
  • Understands and uses appropriate methods, tools and applications
  • Plans, schedules own work and work of others. In predictable and structured areas may supervise others
  • Experience in applying analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
  • Experience of NATO responsibilities and organization and/or in an international environment comprising
  • Experience in team management and staff work
  • ITIL Foundation and Service Operations;
  • Advanced data processing for word processing, spreadsheets, graphics presentations and databases
