About this job

The client offers greenhouse gas detection, measurement, and monitoring services to industrial and government customers around the world. Using their own satellites and aircraft sensors, combined with third-party data, to help industrial emitters better understand, control, and reduce their emissions. Their capability is unique: providing high-resolution, local measurements of atmospheric methane and carbon dioxide concentration from space. This further enables to detect greenhouse gas emitters and to visualize and quantify their emissions. Having launched a second satellite, we are looking for a charismatic Inside Sales Specialist to help with educating our customers about our product offerings, helping them to find solutions and documenting their interactions with us from A to Z. Reporting to the VP, Sales & Marketing, this position is crucial to boost our Sales team’s ability to generate revenue. This role will be based out of Houston, Texas. Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts and build rapport.
  • Research and qualify new leads
  • Explain and demonstrate general features of products and services: understand technical requirements and provide technical information.
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers, potential customers, and follow up on leads to solicit and obtain purchase orders
  • Keep up with product and service information and updates.
  • Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers.
  • Follow standards and recommend improved processes and procedures.
  • Work with team to achieve targets.

Profile

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication
  • Team player: motivated by team targets and the team’s success
  • Independent and driven
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM software
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask while operating under tight deadlines
  • Excellent phone, listening and cold-calling skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in scientific analysis, in atmospheric sciences, in remote sensing systems, and in space
  • Experience working within oil & gas industry
  • Experience with bids, tenders, contracts, and proposals
  • Experience in competitor assessment and analysis
  • Experience working with marketing team to coordinate conferences and events

Your background

  • Degree in business, economics, science, engineering or similar
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in inside sales and sales coordination
  • Fluent in English, French or Spanish an asset
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance
