Our client is a rapidly expanding NewSpace venture that is doing fantastically well. We are helping our client expand into new regions with the UK being the main hub for a strong data analytics team. With this in mind, we are looking for an experienced Data Analytics Manager who is able to grow their own analytics team and help drive the company forward.
 
The analytics pipeline is supported by a datastore that is a structured, distributed collection of databases containing acquired data, intermediate artefacts generated by the pipeline and pipeline output. The datastore is a valuable asset that contains marketable and saleable information of interest to third party analysts and aggregators.
 
The successful candidate will create and lead a team of technical wizards and SMEs to increase the geographical and industrial extents of the analytics pipeline and datastore, and ultimately generate valuable insights for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, plan, and develop robust, quality, scalable analytics pipeline
  • Identify, provide guidance and direction on new sources of data, algorithm design and technology that assimilates data from new sources.
  • Design, develop and implement the assimilation of data from new sources, pipeline algorithms and new datastore storage mechanism and interfaces
  • Provide high attention to detail with ability to manage and resolve multiple priorities, project complexities and uncertainties along with solving customer-facing problems.
  • Understand and drive business goals that drives data development and customer success.
  • Keep abreast of new data sources, technology trends, designs, and market opportunities.
  • Lead and build productive and successful analytics team with developing skill, talent, and careers.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and critical, bold thinking in all situations.

Profile

  • Proven experience as the product owner of an analytics platform.
  • Proven experience as a leader on data projects which require strong collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven experience as a developer, engineer, architect, or combination thereof.
  • Experience with modern analytical systems and reporting structures.
  • Strong people management skills, as well as experience mentoring teams and senior engineers to high performance.
  • Experience presenting in front of executives or boards.
  • BSc/BA in computer science or a relevant field.
  • Preference to someone with a strong Mathematics background
  • Must be a UK citizen
