Sapienza Consulting is working with many exciting new ventures around the world involved with innovative New Space technologies surrounding earth observation. Our customer GHGSat offers greenhouse gas detection, measurement, and monitoring services to industrial and government customers around the world. They use their own satellites and aircraft sensors, combined with third-party data, to help industrial emitters better understand, control, and reduce their emissions.

On behalf of our Canadian client GHGSat we are looking for a Product Manager to own the progression of GHGSat’s analytics products through their lifecycle. The Product Manager, together with the VP of Analytics, sets the roadmap for products in sync with customer needs and GHGSat’s strategy, establishing relationships across all stakeholders. Drawing on all parts of the organization to collect market needs, core technology status, and feedback, you will ensure that GHGSat’s products and services meet customer expectations and revenue objectives.


  • Be a passionate advocate for our customers and their unique challenges with meeting environmental goals that affect the entire planet
  • Develop and maintain a compelling product offering, including business model, pricing, and service terms
  • Provide leadership on the products lines inside GHGSat and with customers
  • Maintain and manage the product roadmap for GHGSat’s Analytic product lines
  • Lead product/feature launches including release notes, webinars, training
  • Assess feasibility and support adoption of complex product features and capabilities through close collaboration with science, operations and customer facing teams
  • Support the Sales team as the primary evangelist for the product lines
  • Work with Marketing to develop compelling sales collateral material
  • Develop and provide training to the sales team on the product lines
  • Write clear product documentation that will anchor operations and revenue generation
  • Communicate the roadmap and share its status with the rest of stakeholders
  • Influence key stakeholders across our organization to align intent and prioritization
  • Ensure alignment with government guidelines such as NMSO (National Master Standard Offer)


  • Customer-centric mindset and experience translating customer requirements into clear priorities for development teams
  • Experience with or demonstrable knowledge of agile software product management
  • Knowledge of geospatial industry, Earth Observation and AI applied to satellite imagery
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience in managing priorities for large scale software projects
  • Ability to balance the needs of customers with company capabilities and priorities
  • Experience in managing backlogs and working with Project Manager and Product Owner
  • Experience with geospatial mapping tools, i.e. QGIS, ArcGIS etc.
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of earth observations, data analysis, AI and Analytics offerings
  • Experience with pragmatic marketing
