Sapienza Consulting, a Serco company is working with many exciting new ventures around the world involved with innovative New Space and Remote Sensing technologies surrounding earth observation.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Earth Observation Satellite Operator. You will be combating climate change first hand by working with our client who provides a satellite-based methane monitoring service. This service allows worldwide regulators and emitters to assess and reduce their emissions.

Your mission as an Earth Observation Satellite Operator will place you responsible both for the definition and development of our client’s CONOPS architecture, and the direct operation of their first satellite.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the existing Satellite Operations Centre (SOC)
• Development of Mission Planning Centre (MPC) software for the demonstration satellite
• Operation of the satellite
• Integration into the MPC development team for the operational constellation with the opportunity to be part of the operations team or participate in the future development

Profile

• BAC +5 in Engineering
• 2+ years’ experience in satellite operation or ground segment development
• Experience in Earth Observation or Optical Payloads
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with constantly changing needs and requirements
• Motivated to ensure the availability of deliverables in a constrained schedule
• Good command of French and English
