Our client has an opportunity for an experienced FPGA Engineer to be based in the South East of England. This role can be remote based with some travel to customers sites across London and the South of England.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of FPGA devices
• Develop FPGA design and interface documents based on the requirement
• Perform the design in HDL, function and timing simulations, and support through validation and integration cycles
• Work closely as a member of a team to develop boards, circuits, and systems utilizing FPGA or similar embedded devices
• Participate-in a multi-functional engineering team environment to develop and integrate hardware, software, and network technology for products and systems
• Provide support to the Digital Signal Processing, Algorithm development, and embedded firmware development teams

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering or related technical field
• 4+ years of experience in HDL coding of FPGA devices, simulation using vendors’ or industry standard simulation tools, lab hardware testing and debugging
• Must be residing in the UK for the last 5 years+

Desirable

• Master’s degree in in Electronics, Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering or related technical field
• Experience in Verilog HDL Coding, ModelSim or vendor specific tools
• Experience in telecom/satcom protocols and algorithms
• Design experience with FPGA SoC devices and high speed digital interfaces
• Knowledge of Analog or Digital boards and systems, design for high quantity and high reliability
• Knowledge of wireless communication system and signal processing
