This is your chance to join an expanding SatComs team, as an experienced Hardware Engineer you will support the company’s RF Power division; work as part of a Low voltage electronics team to support product development, from design, realisation, design proving and implementation into production.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic PCBs and circuits which use embedded software & hardware to meet performance characteristics, whilst ensuring quality, reliability and that the product’s life meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• The individual will work as part of a multi-discipline team.
• The individual will work under a Technical Authority and Product Authority who will guide the development.

Profile

• A strong background in Electronic Hardware design for products
• 10yrs experience in product‐based design, development & qualification
• Experience of analogue circuit design (switching PSUs & signal conditioning)
• Experience of digital circuit design (0.5GHz bus speeds)
• Experience of designing, managing and realising the layout of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
• Knowledge of how to provision hardware for FPGAs and DSPs.
• Experienced in the partitioning of software & hardware within an architecture for testability, maintainability etc.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a multi‐disciplined team
• Ability to create clear, concise, maintainable and verifiable technical specifications, APIs, interface specifications and integration guides
• Experience of product qualification (EMC, environmental proving etc)
