We are recruiting a Database Administration should work for our Customer (EPO) from our off-site office in Skopje.

Responsibilities

The EPO is rapidly moving towards cloud and cloud-native technologies. A number of initiatives are on-going, to move Windows applications to the Cloud and even more are planned to materialise during the lifetime of the Operational Services Framework. Currently the core Windows Application Server infrastructure is still largely maintained on-premise or in a hybrid-cloud set-up, but this situation is evolving rapidly as more applications move to an external cloud and the on-premise infrastructure is reduced correspondingly. It is foreseen that the full stack of Windows Application Servers will be migrated to the data centre in Luxemburg by the end of 2021. The target situation however is for these to run in an external cloud wherever suitable. Although the EPO continues to maintain legacy bespoke applications for its core business, the provisioning of ‘Commercial off the Shelf ‘(COTS), applications is now becoming a standard.

The key objectives of the Windows COTS Applications System:

• To manage the lifecycle of EPO’s Windows Applications.
• To support and help drive the transition from on-premise infrastructure to the Cloud
• Manage the decommissioning of legacy applications and the transition to new solutions and services.
• Ensure the availability and performance of the EPO’s Windows and hybrid- Cloud Application Infrastructure.
• Propose and implement changes in the systems to maintain and improve availability, stability, security and functionality.
• Promote Agile, DevOps and innovation in the implementation of evolving Cloud /SaaS solutions

Profile

• At least 5 years proven experience of Application Server system engineering and system administration for the key services.
• Proven experience and qualifications in Application Management and administration at 2nd and 3rd operational and engineering support levels.
• Excellent skills and knowledge in the specific technical areas within the scope of service delivery.
• For the Microsoft related products, at least 3 years of experience managing Office 365 Cloud
• Services would be an asset.
• Accredited for Cloud Services (Microsoft, Google, AWS and ideally also others) would be beneficial.
• Proven experience in migrating a VOIP environment to Cloud based solutions (Voice Integra[1]tion with Teams).
• Proven experience of managing Cloud migrations
• A thorough understanding of the technology concepts for this Service Area and all inter-related technologies.
• Proven experience of working in an Agile and Dev Ops environment.
• Certification in Project Management methodologies for 3rd level Engineers (preferably Prince 2) would be an asset.
• Stakeholder Management, Leadership and Coordination.
• Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various Service Groups.
• Proven effective oral and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of another EPO standard languages (German and French) would be an asset
