One of our more established customers who are a leading space organisation are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to join their team. You will already have at least 2 years management experience and have led teams within the aerospace industry ideally working with space hardware.

Responsibilities

− Leading the engineering departments of the company
− Setting up the departmental goals, strategy and values
− Resource and staff planning based on project needs
− Mentoring, coaching, talent development
− Preparation of technical proposals to customers
− Support in the evaluation for subcontractor proposals
− Support in the recruiting process of the new employees
− Coordination and standardization activities within the departments
− Focus on continues improvement
− Direct reporting to Managing director
− Close collaboration with top management
− Focus on establishing and maintaining good relationships with business partners

Profile

− University degree in Engineering
− 5+ years of working experience, preferably in aerospace industry
− 2+ years of management experience
− Proven people management and leadership skills
− Big picture thinking and enthusiasm
− Willingness to take a responsibility and work independently
− Excellent analytical and organizational skills
− Self confidence, excellent communication and negotiation skills
− Advanced proficiency in MS Office
− Fluency in spoken and written English
