Responsibilities

In locations where SPEEA representation applies, this job family will be covered by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

In the UK, our Defence and Security customers rely on us to deliver Airborne and Ground-based capabilities in support of with our fixed wing aircraft; including our P-8 Poseidon Maritime and Multi-Mission ISR Aircraft, E-7 Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircraft, C-17 Globemaster Military Transporter, AH-64 Apache Combat Helicopter and CH-47 Chinook Multi-Mission Helicopter.

Beyond our Air platforms, we research, develop, deliver and support capabilities across growing adjacencies including Autonomous Systems, C4ISR Systems, Training and Simulation, Cyber and Intelligent Systems, at Boeing locations and Customer sites across the UK.

We are committed to growing engineering talent in the UK and consequently have a number of Software Engineering Summer Internships available for 2020.

Profile

To be successful, you will have excellent foundational software skills and an aspiration to work with advanced software technologies and excited to work in a growing, agile and diverse engineering capability.  You will be a driven, passionate and collaborative undergraduate satisfying some or all of the following attributes:

  • Proficiency in at least one core language such as Java or C++
  • Familiarity with contemporary integrated development environments
  • Familiarity with Agile development tools and processes
