Responsibilities

The main purpose would be to design Very High Frequency (VHF) and Super High Frequency (SHF) communication solutions for our rockets. The role requires to build a demonstration setup and incorporate solution into Avionics & Guidance, Navigation & Control (AGNC) system. You will be responsible for Antenna placements for Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) receiver and for radar transponder. Collaborate with Ground stations for Isar downlink and with launch providers

More specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible for the maintenance of Antennas and transmitters
  • Be responsible for simulation of antenna gains
  • Designing the link budgets
  • Work on Software-defined radios
  • Play a critical role during Telemetry 1st and 2nd stage

Profile

WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE

Must have:

  • MSc in System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or anything similar
  • Experience in space industry
  • Professional Experience in wireless communication systems in space applications
  • Experience in S-band transceivers
  • Experience in Software defined radios (SDR)
  • Good understanding about antenna design and simulation
  • Good communication skills and a great team player
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Highly organised and proactive with high attention to detail
  • Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Driven and eager to learn
  • Fluent in English

Nice to have:

  • Experience in PCB design
  • Experience using Linux
  • Ham radio license
