Responsibilities

The main purpose of the role would be to contribute towards keeping existing test rig systems running and maintaining currently running PLC-systems (Beckhoff TwinCAT 3) both on the software and hardware side, as well as adding new functionalities.

More specifically, you will:

  • Develop the PLC-software for new test rigs
  • Design safety-critical electrical systems
  • Design safety-critical embedded software
  • Take part in failure mode analysis

Profile

  • A degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or the like/ A certified engineer (German: ‘staatlich geprüfter Techniker’) in automation technology
  • Experience in the field of PLC programming (soft-PLC) and commissioning, ideally using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 or CODESYS based systems
  • Technical support and troubleshooting in the field or remote
  • Advanced knowledge about fieldbus systems
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics
  • Fluent in English
  • Highly organised and proactive with high attention to detail
  • Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Driven and eager to learn
