We are recruiting for a talented Bid Solution Architect to work with the Air and Space team, defining a broad range of solutions for our customers.

Working alongside the Business Development Lead and delivery teams, you will be responsible for technical pre-sales engagement and the solution development across a spectrum of business opportunities, providing appropriate and cost effective solutions.

Responsibilities

You will be working with a variety of stakeholders in the problem and solution space on developing requirements, solution concepts, technical delivery plans, technical proposals and estimates on specific directed opportunities.

You will provide leadership of technical bid teams throughout the solution generation phase, requiring delivery of complex solutions to a range of customers.

Working closely with the project manager to plan and deliver all the bid technical/engineering activities required to meet business winning objectives.

You will be responsible for devising the technical solution using sound technical, management and leadership skills such as systems engineering management and project management.

Identifying the technical risks and opportunities on behalf of the bid manager.

Ensuring that the solution meets appropriate regulatory, legal, safety and other engineering requirements and standards.

Profile

Extensive experience producing technical bid solutions.

  • Strong communication and engagement skills
  • You will be able to manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, building and maintaining excellent relationships.
  • Good negotiation and presentation skills
  • Must be able to think outside the box and provide mindful strategies

 

The following would be desirable, but not essential:

  • A solid understanding of the systems engineering life-cycle and its implementation
  • A background in aviation, military or civil
