Responsibilities

  • Schedule and monitor daily production needs within the department
  • Ensure product quality and safety standards are maintained
  • Train technicians on standard operations used within the department
  • Follow standard and non-standard operating procedures to assemble, inject, cure, trim, drill, and make simple repairs to composite parts
  • Use hand, power, and machine tools to prepare, and clean process molds, equipment, parts, assemblies, or machinery where needed. Equipment used may include hand knife, automated power or hand cutters, computerized injection equipment, hydraulic presses, cranes or other lifting devices, oven operations, and other shop equipment
  • Capable of providing assistance with process problems, documenting issues effectively and following up on open issues
  • Record operations accurately and legibly on parts where required, including on routing sheets, operation sheets, department documentation, or terminals to ensure ethical recording of part documentation
  • Use simple inspection devices such as, calipers, micrometers, mylars, scales, and gages to ensure quality of work. Candidates will be required to inspect and certify own work to established standards
  • Organize work areas, maintain a clean work environment, plan tasks with team, perform assigned work and meet or exceed cost, quality and schedule needs
  • Other duties as assigned and required

Profile

Required Qualification:

  • Must have an active secret security clearance
  • Must be able to work approximately 5 hours on weekends on an overtime basis
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience
  • Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D Required
