Responsibilities

The main purpose would be to help design Very High Frequency (VHF) and Super High Frequency (SHF) communication solutions for our rockets. The role will contribute towards building a demonstration setup and incorporating the solution into Avionics & Guidance, Navigation & Control (AGNC) system.

This will suit a working student or intern ideally as a full-time internship in the next 3-6 months. Start date is immediate.

More specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible for the maintenance of Antennas and transmitters
  • Be responsible for simulation of antenna gains
  • Designing the link budgets
  • Work on Software-defined radios
  • Play a critical role during Telemetry 1st and 2nd stage

Profile

Must have

  • BSc in RF Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or anything similar
  • Experience in wireless communication systems Experience in VHF / S-band transceivers
  • Experience in Software defined radios (SDR)
  • Understanding about antenna design and simulation
  • Passionate about new space, curious and eager to learn
  • Driven to deliver and consonantly push the boundaries
  • Take ownership and accountability for your own actions and mistakes
  • Humble and willing to go out of your way to help others
  • Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
  • Fluent English. German is highly preferred

Nice to have

  • Experience in PCB design
  • Experience using Linux Ham radio license
