Responsibilities

The Electron Launch Vehicle is a fly-by-wire system and generates a large quantity of real-time data throughout its production, testing, and launch life cycle. This data tells a story and let’s Rocket Lab engineers and key stakeholders know how we are performing and provides evidence for continuous improvement.  The Operational Data software team transforms data to meaning, providing a bespoke data analysis framework customized to support development of the next generation of rockets. There’s no limit to the ambition we have to create smart, data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Profile

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary Diploma, Certificate or degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or demonstrated equivalent level of knowledge.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience within a software engineering related discipline
  • Git
  • Experience with one of: Redmine, Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis, or other issue tracker
  • C#, Python Development
  • Windows Application Development
  • Database Application Development
  • Networked application development

 Desirable:

  • Scrum
  • .NET Linux Application Development
  • User Interface Development
  • Big Data System Development
