Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Site Procurement Manager is responsible for execution of the delivery and quality performance of the Purchase to Pay operational processes for their site within the boundaries of the contracts set up by the Global Commodity teams and the released standardized Means & Methods.  They are also responsible for leading continuous improvement efforts within Supplier Performance Management based on Procurement performance indicators, as well as  first line escalation.

  • Complying with all legal and regulatory requirements and ensuring that staff are aware of the policies and their individual responsibilities and accountabilities: import/export control regulations; compliance and ethics policy including international regulations (eg ITAR, EAR).
  • Leading and developing their teams in the delivery of People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash and Cost (PSQDCC) targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments.
  • Procure/Schedule parts, materials, tools, etc. to site/program schedule and business schedules in line with business targets.
  • Act as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related delivery activities and authority to commit company resources through alignment of central contracts and agreements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure a high quality, reliable source of supplies, services and information.
  • Develop a highly motivated, well-trained staff capable of meeting the short and long term staffing requirements of the department and Company.
  • Contributing to the Plant strategy, and ensuring its execution across their assigned areas.
  • Contributing to the Procurement Commodity and Programme strategy, and ensuring its implementation and execution across the site.
  • Negotiating and/or overseeing the negotiation of local contracts in line with the global policy (local contracts under the threshold set by global commdity team).
  • Ensuring the disciplined execution of Daily Management and Standardised work through the conscientious adherence to Leadership Standard Work.
  • Manage implementation of contracts within sites, including necessary product transitions.
  • Responsible for realizing Operational targets: supplier delivery performance; supplier quality performance; raw material inventory performance; invoice management performance; organize Operational reviews with Stakeholders (eg. KPI’s, targets, compliance).
  • Responsible for active Supply Chain risk management.

Profile

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent degree in a related discipline, required.
  • 7+ years relevant business experience in manufacturing supply chain/procurement including purchasing of raw materials.
  • 5+ years experience in Procurement SCM or Production Management, including previous experience  with an international supply base.

 Additional Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the Aerospace industry and associated technological and commercial trends highly preferred.
  • Management and/or supervisory experence in supply chain/procurement highly preferred.
  • Core competences: Analytical ability, Decisiveness, Customer focus, Consciousness of the environment, Organization sensitivity, Planning and organization, Focus on results.
  • A demonstrated ability to build relations with a supplier network and having insight in suppliers processes.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop a performance excellence organization.
  • A track record of Leadership to work with cross functional teams.
