LSE Space GmbH is looking for a:
L 1 Maintenance Technician (m/f/d)
to join our Service Operations Team supporting the Galileo Mission in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich/Germany.

Responsibilities

The core tasks will be:

  • Provide regular Level 1 preventive and corrective maintenance on the Galileo ground elements: this includes the whole hardware maintenance and nearly the whole preventive software maintenance. Part of the software corrective maintenance is also considered at L1 level.
  • Formally logging maintenance interventions raising and processing tickets in the Galileo ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) tool, following all the conventions and processes agreed.
  • Cooperate with the next level of maintenance (Level 2), escalating incidents and supporting their resolution.
  • Review new technical documentation and test new system installations, raising any anomaly according to the required formal process.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues encountered by operators or found during the maintenance activities.
  • Contribution to develop and update the needed procedures for your activities.

  • Manage user accounts according to the IT security guidelines.
  • Participating to meetings, communicating with the costumer, the external service providers, and the industrial partners.
  • Cooperate with other Galileo teams in the resolution of the security incidents investigation.
  • Contribute to the provision of the team 24/7 on call duties and regular office hour support on any business day.

 
Educational requirements: a Degree as Technician in the area of IT, Network, Electronics or similar.

Profile

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems
  • Confident with the Linux command line.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting (basic level is also accepted).
  • Willing to learn and work on maintenance activities in different areas, both for software and hardware.
  • English at business level, both written and spoken.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Available to travel
