The Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) Information Management (IM) division and Digital Accelerator department are looking for a Software Engineer (d/f/m) to join its Digital Squad based in Hamburg.

Airbus started its digital journey. The objective being to transform the company and to prepare it for the future. This transformation includes new global governance, new ways of working and the realization of digital business services and platforms managed by Airbus Digital Accelerator organization.

One key component of this digital transformation is the implementation of solutions to enable the data-value chain in Airbus and its division and to ensure the best use of data in Airbus, whether to optimize our business processes or to create new business values via data monetization.

The data-value chain encompasses solutions to create, capture, connect, ingest, transport, process, expose and visualize data, data coming from Airbus, customers (Airlines), aircrafts (in-flight data), suppliers and other third-party entities. In that context, the Digital Squad is key in achieving Airbus’ goal. Challenges are numerous and exciting! Help us drive digitalization!

Responsibilities

Your specific responsibilities will be:

• You will be involved in all parts of the product lifecycle: idea generation, design, prototyping, planning, execution, monitoring and delivery, in the context of multiple products and initiatives (such as “Indoor tracking”, “Free-Stock Box management”, “Monitoring of critical Apps”…)
• You will design and develop high-quality product features from end-to-end (DevOps), highly scalable, highly available, using a variety of frameworks and tools.
• You will conduct researches on new technologies and solutions, complete proof of concepts and apply these new findings into our current environment.
• You will standardize the quality assurance procedures for software engineering, oversee testing and develop fixes.
• You will be the best practices ambassador for digital transformation, including security concerns.
• You will be coaching, mentoring and enabling other developers.
• You will promote a strong Agile & Lean culture to drive business values.

Your Boarding Pass:

• You have a degree in Information Technology (or equivalent)
• You have experience in software development (Java technologies or equivalent) acting across the entire development lifecycle using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Maven), test-driven development and test automation
• You have knowledge with Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Knowledge on some of these products/tools would be a plus: GitHub, Jira, Confluence
• Expereience with Custom back-end solutions and applications built on top of the core platform (front-end in VueJS is a plus) is part of your profile•
