Airbus Helicopters in Donauwoerth is looking for a Avionic System Architect (m/f/d) within the area SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities.

Responsibilities

You will work in an international department in a team of avionic architects spread over different civil and military helicopter projects. Your main mission will be to be responsible for Avionics Architecture on “Commercial H-Helicopters” being local interface to Project, flight tests, FAL, German authorities & customer.

As avionic architect, you will have to:

  • collect stakeholders needs (from Projects/Program, Marketing, Support, end-users and customers) for the overall avionics system
  • define operational concepts and use cases for overall avionics
  • perform functional analysis and define functional architecture (including functional flows)
  • specify all requirements (functional and non-functional) allocated to avionics system
  • validate and cascade the overall set of avionics requirements to avionics functions
  • define all avionics external interfaces for physical architecture
  • propose the “most effective” avionics design resulting from trade-off based on constraints and all other influencing criteria (safety/availability, compliance to customer needs, cost/weight/volume, re-use, family concept, industrial strategy /partnerships, …)
  • lead Filter Boards (as Chairman) at avionics level for problem report
  • ensure overall verification activities at avionics level
  • prepare the technical substantiation materials for Qualification/Certification at avionics level (SFR/PDR/CDR/TRR)
  • lead the flight clearance activity
  • Perform interface with other helicopter systems (vehicle, …) and ground segment / open world
  • You will work in a transnational department in close cooperation with other avionic architect and be interfaced with all avionics (ETZ/ETG), vehicle, (ETV/TM), projects(MFT,), safety (ETG) and certification (ETJ) stakeholders

More globally, depending on project phases, the mission of the department is to anticipate future needs and possible solutions (using Airbus Group network), from concept analysis up to feasibility during Reseach and Pre-Dev phases.

Profile

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

  • Successfully completed degree in engineering sciences or comparable
  • Ideally, experience in device or system development for avionics, experience with systems engineering with regard to H145
  • Many years of experience in engineering and project management
  • Experience with SW tools in the area of requirements management (especially DOORS)
  • English: fluent, business fluent
  • Advanced German
  • Team Spirit
