Responsibilities
- Perform analysis tasks within product development activities following a structured approach
- Perform concept studies in support to Systems Engineering
- Lead and manage analysis team task assignments for the assigned project
- Construct FE models to support analysis tasks
- Verify and validate analysis methods used for program using hand calculations or other imperial data
- Complete analyses for fasteners, lugs or other joints using industry standard methods
- Create complete Free Body Diagrams for all analyses completed
- Provide input to inspection and test plans
- Perform test evaluations and correlate analysis tools accordingly
- Support technical tradeoff and solutions selection
- Issue (detailed) technical reports describing the work performed
- Participate in internal and external meetings and reviews
- Coordinate analysis tasks, e.g. within an analysis team working on the same product
- Test predictions, evaluation and correlation
- Provide summary of work completed to lead analyst for project
- Periodic travel to US sites and Switzerland
Profile
- B.S. in Engineering
- 10+ Years of relevant industry experience
- Analysis skills on composite and metallic materials covering following domains: Structural (static, dynamic)
- Demonstrated success performing in a lead capacity on multiple schedule critical development projects
- FEMAP/NxNastran
- ABAQUS or other non-linear solver beneficial
- Strong Matlab skills
- Hand calculation methods
- Awareness for costs and schedule
- Problem solving skills
- Good communication and cooperation
- Organizational skills
