Responsibilities
- Support continuous improvements in a variety of manufacturing processes.
- Handson support of production technicians and production processes.
- Support establishment of a lean organization and drive initiatives to improve output and performance of the production team.
- Establish standardized work processes and techniques to increase productivity.
- Manage projects within the organization to support future goals.
- Define manufacturing jigs and tools, support procurement and acquiring necessary tools and materials.
- Simulate and plan production processes and capacities.
- Work with international colleagues to evaluate, improve, and transfer current state processes to the US.
- Assist in the implementation of corporate best practices and work to localize any such requirements to ensure improved results.
- Define, establish, and track KPIs in serial production phase.
- Support and define engineering processes.
- Participates in change process and implements process and design changes.
Profile
- B.S. degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar discipline.
- Must demonstrate expertise in lean manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrates knowledge of composite materials and processes.
- Lean Six Sigma training, certification and/or experience is highly beneficial.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods of time.
- Demonstrates knowledge of quality and safety standards including OSHA standards, ISO 9001, and AS9100.
- Highly flexible in regard to work content and willingness to perform other duties as assgined
- Knowledge of SAP or other Manufacturing Execution Systems.
