Responsibilities

  • As Country Finance Manager you report to the Country Manager and are a member of the Country Management Team.
  • Your main responsibility is to lead the accounting, treasury, controlling and contract management activities within RUAG Space Sweden.
  • You will be overall responsible for maintaining and developing RUAG policies, guidelines and strategies and work for transparency of decision-making and control and for active involvement in all related matters.
  • In addition, you ensure compliance within the legal entity framework (local accounting standards, taxes and social contributions etc.).
  • Your tasks include:
    • Risk Management: Monitoring and challenging the projects and their execution in Sweden and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting of the same in terms of incurred and committed costs.
    • Legal and Tax Management: Ensure the optimal tax structure for the execution of the projects within Sweden under consideration of the permanent Establishment framework and the Transfer pricing rule (incl. TP documentation), supported by the tax department.
    • Internal Control Management: Ensuring that all financial processes and internal controls are implemented and documented, robust and compliant.
    • Financial Systems: Ensuring efficient financial accounting processes such as Purchase to Pay, Order to Invoice etc. Defining the financial structure of the units within Sweden, its processes and systems, in order to provide all internal and external requirements
    • Planning and Budgeting: Ensuring the effective implementation of annual planning and budgeting activities for legal entity and setting targets in order to produce resource plans and budgets.
    • Cash flow Management: Monitoring and forecasting unit business reports, as sales, overdue, risk provision reports and cash flows reports.
    • People Management and Development: Recruiting, training, developing and motivating/retaining financial team members within the unit in order for them to complete their activities and to increase their competencies and performance.
    • Compliance: Complying with the reporting definitions of RUAG guidelines in order to provide consistent and informative management information.
    • Process Management: Organising, managing, coordinating the financial activities of the reporting units and branches in order to guide decisions and validate results.
    • Management Reporting: Setting the environment to collect, consolidate, analyse and validate in order to produce forecasts.

Profile

  • University degree in Finance
  • At least 10 years of experience, preferably with at least 3 years within a similar industry
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Knowledge and extensive experience in reporting and controlling, accounting and project accounting analysis.
  • Understanding of accounting and reporting systems, for example IFS and SAP, is an advantage.
  • Behavioural skills/competencies: Proactive attitude, good problem solving skills and decision-making, strong communication skills, people skills, at ease with transparency and team building.
