About this job

Founded in June 2006 as a center for advanced space systems, Rocket Lab’s goal is to remove the commercial barriers to space by providing frequent launch opportunities to low orbit Earth.

Rocket Lab is rapidly expanding to meet the global demand for our commercial launch service. The Wallops Island launch facility is seeking passionate, highly-skilled individuals who are comfortable working in a dynamic, technically challenging environment where they will be given ownership of processes from start-to-finish. • Develop and maintain launch plans for ground safety, flight safety and launch operations.
  • Generate and implement safety standards, work instructions, processes, procedures, and provide guidance to mitigate hazards and risks.
  • Review engineering designs, change requests, non-conformance reports, test/launch procedures for safety assurance.
  • Coordinate with Range safety authorities to support analyses, readiness reviews, technical meetings and launch operations.
  • Employ correct PPE in designated areas.
