About this job

Rocket Lab’s mission is to revolutionize the way we access space. We develop and launch advanced rockets to put small payloads into orbit more frequently, at a fraction of the cost of cumbersome traditional launch services. We are ushering in a new era of unprecedented access to space.

We’ll offer you a career-defining role, with interesting, meaningful projects working with world-leading experts. You will be challenged every day; there will be lots to learn and plenty to do. Based at our new state of the art facility in Mt Wellington, Auckland, this role comes with a range of staff benefits including subsidised meals and an on-site gym. If you want to be challenged, solve problems with innovation and work on the advanced space systems that are changing an entire industry, Rocket Lab is the place to do it.

Responsibilities

Launching a Rocket is a dance between multiple teams, multiple sites, and multiple complex systems working together towards the ultimate goal: orbit. Flight Operations software helps bring this orchestra together and get customers’ payloads to orbit safely and efficiently.

This role requires a high level of aptitude and someone who can work on their own initiative as you will be responsible for defining and developing the systems used by Rocket Lab’s Mission Control Operators.  We are looking for critical thinkers who can work efficiently to deliver tasks, meet the design requirements and report and track their progress.
