About this job

The successful Stress Engineer will support a variety of aerospace development programs tied to next generation launch vehicles. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, the Stress Engineer will provide technical expertise and analytical solutions to support the design, development, and certification of components such as heat shields, interstage adaptors, fairings, and other launch vehicle components. This role will have a high impact on the conception, design, analysis and fabrication of the various components that RUAG produces in support of our growing customer base.

Responsibilities

 

  • Support concept studies and trade-off activities
  • Review specifications and other data to develop product layouts
  • Issue drawings for engineering and manufacturing purposes
  • Coordination of design activities within the project team
  • Support the introduction of new solutions and technologies
  • Issue of project documentation (e.g. drawings, part lists, product breakdown tree, …)
  • Support test, engineering and production activities
  • Participate to internal and external meetings and reviews
  • Review design work performed by team members

 

Profile

 

  • 5+ Years of Industry experience
  • B.S. in Engineering or related Technical field.
  • Experienced with CAD software CATIA v5 or v6
  • Familiarity with composite structures
  • Able to manage large assembly models and drawings
  • Team player
  • Awareness for costs and schedule
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good communication and cooperation
  • Organization skills
