The successful Aerospace Design Engineer will support a variety of aerospace development programs tied to next generation launch vehicles. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, the Design Engineer will provide technical expertise and analytical solutions to support the design, development, and certification of components such as heat shields, interstage adaptors, fairings, and other launch vehicle components.

Responsibilities

  • Work on product structure, detail modelling, engineering drawings.
  • Maintain mass budget.
  • Assist design detail and assembly layout.
  • Perform design studies of detail parts.
  • Support design trade studies.
  • Handle different design tasks.
  • Participate to internal and external meetings and reviews.
  • Prepare design presentations for different design reviews.
  • Periodic travel to US sites and Switzerland.

Profile

  • B.S. in Engineering required.
  • 3 – 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Familiar with standard aerospace structural design practices.
  • Experience in joint design and different fastener usages.
  • Familiar with metallic and composite applications.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Good communication and cooperation.
  • Organization skills.
