We are looking for a Lead Purchaser (32-40 hours/week) who will lead the local purchasing team (operational buying). This team is responsible for the purchasing of materials for Fokker Elmo in the Netherlands.

A challenging function within salary scale K of the Fokker salary scale. In this function you will report to the Manager Supply Chain & Purchasing, Evert-Jan Wisse of Fokker Elmo Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and managing a team of 3 employees (like e.g. discussions on performance development  and absenteeism);
• Ensuring sufficient staff with the required level of knowledge and experience;
• Actively monitoring the progress of the process and analyzing the performance;
• Optimizing material availability and working capital costs;
• Determining and taking tactical decisions and consultation with the Supply Chain Manager based on S&OP reviews;
• Controlling and continuous improving of processes.

Profile

• HBO-level in Logistics and/or identical training, e.g. NEVI 1;
• Broad purchasing/operational buyer experience within an industrial environment;
• Managerial experience is a plus, but also candidates with demonstrable managerial capacities will be taken into account;
• Analytical skills;
• Preferably experienced with ERP systems (e.g. BAAN, SAP)
• Experienced level of the English language, both verbal and written
• Communication and coaching techniques;
• Proactive and solution driven.
