The EUROCONTROL Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre (MUAC) manages the upper airspace over Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and north-west Germany – one of Europe’s busiest and most complex airspace areas.Within MUAC, the Support Services Management Unit is in charge of providing MUAC staff with support in the areas of human resources (including Welfare and the Service for Prevention and Protection in the Workplace, SPP), finance, legal, procurement and soft facility management.The Support Services Management Unit is looking for a dynamic trainee to join its team in supporting MUAC’s services for legal matters ranging from public administration law to compliance assurance and employment regulations.


We would like you to stay with us from 3 up to 6 months however, a possible extension can be considered in order to maximize your learning experience.

We will mentor you and train you so that you can maximize your learning experience.At EUROCONTROL our working languages are English and French.  For this particular post, you will need to have an excellent command of English, and a working knowledge of French and/or Dutch would be an asset. We are a very multicultural and diverse organization, so knowledge of additional languages would also be an advantage!


Your main tasks will be:

  • provide legal analysis on various legal matters,
  • draft legal correspondence ( e.g. regulation, policies, agreements)
  • conduct research on various topics and advise on legal aspects based on a legal analysis
  • other duties as arising



  • We are looking for recent graduates or students who love legal analysis and teamwork.
  • We are particularly interested in graduates and/or students who have a Bachelor or Master degree in Law with focus on employment law, public administration law, and international law.
  • The successful candidate will be assisting the Head of Support Services Management (SSM) as well as the HR Legal Expert.
