GKN Fokker Landing Gear is looking for a Quality Liaison Engineer.

The Quality Liaison Engineer role is to facilitate and support the Integrated Project Team to continuously improve its quality performance.

Your challenge would be to focus on the development and implementation of Quality Management System standards to include specific Customer Quality requirements and provide support in working with these standards and requirements. You will have direct communication with the Customer on Quality related topics and with Quality collegues in Operations and Procurement

You will be part of the Integrated Project Team of GKN Fokker Landing Gear based in Helmond and report functionally to the Director SHEQ and operational to the IPT Lead / Program Manager.

Responsibilities

• The Quality function in the Integrated Project Team of the GKN Fokker Landing Gear Helmond site.
• Supporting the Integrated Project Team continuous improvement programs.
• For maintaining and improving an effective non-conformance handling and root cause corrective action process.
• For maintaining and improving an effective compliance matrix in order to attest conformity of the Customer Quality requirements and to facilitate and support implementing changes to the Quality Management System in case of changes.
• Performing quality audits as part of the overall Fokker Landing Gear audit program and confirming the effectiveness of the quality system.
• For hosting Quality audits of external parties, including the Customer.

Profile

• You have a Bachelor degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering with experience in Quality roles related to the Aerospace industry.
• You are familiar with quality management systems.
• To be successful in this role you are a person with an independent attitude. You are strong on making decisions and working together with different stakeholders including the Customer, Operations and Procurement within GKN Fokker Landing Gear.
• You need to be comfortable with working in a matrix organization.
