The Manufacturing Supervisor leads and directs a multi-functional team of technicians engaged in the fabrication, processing and delivery of component parts and assemblies. Oversee the day-to-day responsibility for production; including but not limited to ensuring part quality, delivery requirements and cost targets are achieved, promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and build cohesive teams to enhance employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, leadership and coordination of employee activities associated with an assigned product line.
  • Develop innovative problem resolution processes and encourage new ideas and methods
  • Assess and provide feedback regarding performance to employees.
  • Maintain a safe workplace.
  • Develop and/or maintain plans that meet internal and external customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with logistics for the shipment of completed product supplies and inventory.
  • Determine daily, monthly, and weekly activities by using information from the team, operations management, production planning, purchasing, QA, engineering and finance.
  • Develop competencies within the department or product line that focus on technical skills and continuous manufacturing process improvement.
  • Obtain an understanding of our overall business and financial (cost and asset) management objectives.
  • Work to ensure continuous improvement manufacturing processes and procedures, with technical assistance from tooling, engineering, finance, and materials.

  • Responsible for the completion of key job requirements and other tasks related to this position as assigned by management.

Profile

  • Required Qualifications
    • High school diploma required.
    • 5+ years of experience in leadership positions in a manufacturing environment.
    • Lean/5s manufacturing training and/or experience required.
    • Must be a U.S. Person.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, ERP Systems including SAP, preferred
    • Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, problem analysis and solving, potential problem analysis, decision analysis and planning.
    • Must be skilled in coaching, team-building, business measurement, continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques.
    • Multi-task oriented, strong interpersonal skills, computer literate required.
