The department, Technology and Engineering is responsible for all engineering related activities that are carries out under the responsibility of Fokker Landing Gear. This includes the preparation of proposals for new programs, the development of new Landing Gear systems, the improvement of existing Landing Gear systems and the support to the operations department or the end user.

It’s a multi discipline- Engineering team, which resulted in a dynamic working environment.

Responsibilities

• As a Sustaining Engineer, you are analyzing product non-conformances and you are defining an acceptable rework to the product.
• In the defined rework, you have to consider all relevant engineering topics such as design, stress and dynamic performance.
• In areas outside your own knowledge, you can consult specialists within GKN Aerospace / Fokker Landing Gear, or if needed external specialists.
• Before getting the authority to sign-off documents related to the non-conforming products, you will have to show that you have the right hard and soft skills to be suitable for the job.
• This means that you will start your job to support an experienced Sustaining Engineer who has the authority to sign-off the rework proposal.

Profile

• You have a Bachelor- or Master Degree in Aerospace- or Mechanical Engineering;
• You have a minimum of 5 year experience in the field of Stress Engineering, both static and fatigue analysis
• You are eager to build up knowledge in the other engineering areas such as design and dynamic performance.
• You are analytical, quality conscious, accurate, eager to learn and you want to understand the root cause in case of a non-expected product-deviation
• You know your own limits within the field of engineering and you have an intrinsic drive to make benefit of the experience of specialists in other fields of expertise
• You have excellent communication skills and a result driven attitude;
• You have a structured way of working;
• You are fluent in English language (verbal and written), Dutch is a pré
