Provide P&L leadership and day-to-day focus on the proper execution of actions necessary for the on-time delivery, first time quality and profitability of products and services. You will manage customer facing programs in steady state production (post LCG 6) at a single site and provide business leadership to ensure contractual requirements are delivered and business results are achieved. This position manages a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Responsibilities

  • Lead an IPT to create a highly performing team enabling the technical and leadership contributions from each member to achieve programme success and excellence in the Customer relationship
  • Support BD in new business bid proposals and lead negotiation of repeat or opportunities directly related to existing programme contracts
  • Manage risks and opportunities to ensure the optimisation of margins/revenue and achievement of contractual requirements. This will be done is a planned and controlled way involving the whole IPT
  • Manage the accomplishment of the programme against a defined set of measures, adding any that might be necessary in addition to those within the Programme Performance Summary and related measures
  • Ensure the capacity and competency requirement for resources and investment are provided through the various function process including the MPS, SIOP, and procurement external supply chain management processes
  • Lead the deployment of the Lifecycle Management, ensuring the timely achievement of Gates and the suitable commitment of IPT and Functional team members
  • Ensure the programme is managed in accordance with PM governance and procedures including the creation of a Quality Plan to demonstrate application of the existing GKN BMS and to ensure compliance with any Contractual requirements
  • Ensure the use of lessons learned and LEAN/CI processes to drive a culture of continuous improvement and secure optimised performance. This includes driving improvements in margin and quality/schedule enablers to deliver contract and business case requirements
  • Where appropriate ensure the NPI phase of the programme delivers the capability and capacity for business case performance in steady sate, spares and support. This includes fulfilling all contract requirements

Profile

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or business or in lieu of degree 6 years of related experience
  • 4 years applicable project/program management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Program Management Professional Certification from industry organization such as PMI
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex subjects in a dynamic work environment
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
