Responsibilities

Description of tasks:

  • Provide ILS support to meet contracted deliverables to the NH-90 programme.
  • To provide ILS knowledge and MSG-3 Analysis support to the NH90 Maintenance Burden
  • Reduction Project
  • Analysis of Fokker equipment design to derive the minimum preventive maintenance requirements necessary for continued airworthiness through MSG-3 analysis.
  • To translate MSG-3 results into preventive maintenance task data modules.
  • Provide MSG-3 support activities to other projects as required.
  • Support Continued Airworthiness activities for Fokker supported projects through ILS activities.
  • Verify maintenance procedures at a desk top level and provide feedback to task originators.
  • Assess and identify the ILS impacts associated with Change Requests.
  • To generate requested ILS deliverables across the range of ILS and Logistic Support Analysis disciplines.
  • To assist in management of the NH90 LSA (LSA Database) and generate Ad-hoc and specialized reports tailored to customers’ requirements.
  • To improve the derived maintenance program through RAMT analysis and advice.
  • To identify shortfalls and assist with improving the ILS processes and procedures.
  • Support change management topics with other ILS disciplines (LSA, Material Support &
  • Technical Publications).
  • Represent Fokker at an international level for ILS disciplines.
  • To optimize support in response to in-service experience.
  • To identify data inconsistencies and prepare rectification action for logistics databases for
  • NH90 Customers.
  • Assist with updates of the logistics databases in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Review Data Modules for their correctness and consistency with engineering sources.
  • Liaise with FK engineering, airworthiness and NH90 Partner Companies on all of the above topics.

Responsibilities:

  • The ILS Engineer is responsible within the European Defence Business Line of Fokker Aerostructures for:
  • Re-analysis and verification of MSG-3 derived Preventive Maintenance activities.
  • Verification of Data Modules of the NH90 technical documentation set.
  • Approval of relevant Data Modules and Source Documents by regulatory authorities
  • Coordinate with customers and suppliers on Technical matters, MSG- 3, RAM/T and other activities.
  • Engineering activities in support of the NH90 Maturity Programme.
  • Identification of ILS impact of the NH90 Change Management processes.
  • Creating and managing ILS data in the logistic databases (LSA).

Authorities:

  • Take corrective measures towards Military Design Organisation and its subcontractors in the case of deviations from agreed process or logic
  • Take decisions at FK internal meetings regarding ILS impacts and implementation

The ILS Engineer participates when necessary in the following meetings:

  • Maintenance Burden Reduction Programme task force meetings
  • Change Control Board
  • TRB (Technical Review Board)
  • ILS Coordination meetings

Profile

  • Practitioner knowledge of MSG-3 analysis (in excess of 2 years).
  • Practitioner knowledge of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Testability (RAMT) analyses
  • Capable of security clearance on military projects.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD 1388, DEF STAN 00-60, AECMA SlOOOD, ASD 2000, ATA MSG-3 latest edition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
