Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager works closely with the Corporate Controller and the finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of Rocket Lab’s tax compliance, financial records, reports and financial reconciliations across Rocket Lab’s global operations.

Profile

• A chartered accountant designation.
• Strong systems knowledge and tier 1 ERP exposure.
• Public accounting experience (at Big 4 or mid-tier firm) required
• An understanding of external financial reporting, including preparation of group financial statements. An understanding of the United States tax and financial reporting requirements will be a significant advantage.
• Experience in the preparation of monthly management reports, including Board and variance reporting, within agreed monthly timetables.
• The ability to interpret accounting and financial reporting issues.
• An exposure to corporate taxation, including income tax and GST.
• Good word processing and Excel skills, including the ability to develop, document and maintain complex spreadsheet models.
• An awareness of treasury risk management, including management of interest-rate and foreign-currency risk.
• An awareness of internal control processes and procedures.
• A knowledge of manufacturing or aerospace and defense accounting will be an advantage.
