Responsibilities

Job Summary

The position is an engineering position within Engine Systems to support product realization phase for commercial and military jet engines. The primary job responsibility would to take input from manufacturing engineering on various components and prepare for machining by generating NC programs in Siemens NX. This position will have overall responsibility for any NC programming task at GKN aerospace India.

Job Responsibilities

Team player working in Manufacturing engineering, delivering CAM preparation tasks for manufacturing a part/product meeting GKN standards and functional KPI of the organization.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
  • 5-8 years of experience working as CAM engineer with considerable experience in generating CNC programming preferably with an Aircraft engine manufacturer.
  • Good experience in Siemens NX.
  • A minimum of 3 years of shop floor experience with knowledge of manufacturing tools and processes in a medium sized industry.
  • Good experience in Turning and milling processes.
  • Good experience in machining of Aerospace grade Titanium, Nickel and Aluminium alloys.
  • Experience in Siemens control system and simulation in Vericut.
  • User level experience in Teamcenter or other PLM systems.
  • Ability to interpret complex drawings and good understanding of GD&T.
