Responsibilities

Job Summary

Performs a variety of engineering work in planning, design and modification of fixtures, tools, and manufacturing processes.  Resolves production problems and completes documentation on assigned parts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops, evaluates, improves and documents manufacturing processes.
  • Develops and implements process control techniques including work instructions using tools such as SPC, PFMEA.
  • Analyses manufacturing process flows continually for the improvements of quality, cost reduction, lead-time reduction for new work.
  • Collarborates with other functions to ensure effective production methods.
  • Coordinates part inspection procedures with Quality Engineers.
  • Addresses and documents cause and corrective action issues to prevent future problem occurrences.
  • Determines required material and tools for production.
  • Creates and registers changes to work instructions.

Profile

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program; required course work in lieu of ABET accreditation will be considered.
  • 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, aerospace preferred.
  • 1 year of experience on a Material Review Board, or a recommendation from engineering management to be on a Material Review Board.
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.
  • Must have a DOD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.

Additional Experience and Qualifications:

  • Has knowledge of relevant technology and is able to operate unassisted on routine tasks.
  • Excellent written, verbal and collaboration skills.
