We’re looking to hire a Warehouse and Distribution Manager, this is a key people management role and will have responsibility for managing all logistic-related activities for the Apache AH-64E.

In this role you will manage a team of warehouse and asset management employees performing activities in support of company operations warehouse and distribution and performance improvement of supply chain management processes and procedures. You will manage the AH-64E Warehouse Management Service, determine and execute processes and procedures for the organisation and management of inventory. You will implement policy and procedures, setting operational goals to meet Customer and End-User requirements. You will develop and maintain relationships within a demanding multi-stakeholder environment. You will provide approval and oversight of technical approaches, products and processes; acquire required resources, identify continuous improvement initiatives and oversee activities through to completion. You will supervise Warehouse Management Service performance and establish corrective action plans where applicable. You will ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with appropriate safety regulations to create a safe working environment. You will also be responsible for managing, developing and motivating employees.

Responsibilities

  • People Management – Lead and coach the Warehouse Management Team, managing resources effectively, provide employee development, coordinating training and supporting all programme and functional objectives.
  • Development of warehouse and distribution capability ensuring flawless execution to Boeing processes.
  • The identification and implementation of supply chain execution best practices.
  • Manage the processes and tools for warehouse and asset management activities.
  • Focus on enhancing the capability of our supply chain team to deliver high quality, resilient and efficient service to the Business Unit and the Boeing SCM function.
  • Working with the cross functional business stakeholders to identify optimisation opportunities.

Profile

  • Experience of managing logistics operations
  • Experience of working within complex multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experience of inventory management
  • Experience of Ministry of Defence regulations
  • Exhibits strong leadership attributes
  • Preferably educated to Bachelors Degree level

UK MOD Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain) is essential.

Relocation is not available with this role.
