We are looking for scientists and engineers who can solve complex problems in sensing, communications and secure navigation, with potential to work across multiple domains (space, air, land, maritime and cyber) on some of the most interesting and technically challenging scientific and engineering projects in the UK.

Responsibilities

You will plan and structure your own work with guidance and direction from project managers and technical leads, including:

  • Researching customer needs and requirements to align technical outputs;
  • Exercising discretion on a variety of complex assignments identifying risk and opportunity;
  • Promoting innovation, inventiveness and high standards of excellence within the team.

 

 

Profile

You should ideally have skills in a number of the following areas:

  • Mathematical modelling;
  • Algorithm design and development;
  • Digital signal processing;
  • Data fusion techniques (including Kalman Filtering);
  • Matlab or Simulink modelling (IDL, Python, C / C++ coding may be equally beneficial).

 

Interest or broad understanding of key principles relating to RF sensing, communication systems and protocols, navigation and/or geolocation techniques would be beneficial, but you’ll have all the support and professional development opportunities you need to make a real impact for our customers.
