We are now looking for an advanced level apprentice to join the Finance team to support the business. You will have an exciting and busy role with opportunities for progression within the team and the business as a whole. Your duties will be varied, with touchpoints throughout the entire finance team.

These challenging development roles combine practical on the job training alongside studying towards a CIMA certification in Business Accounting.

Responsibilities

Some of your duties will include:

  • Assisting with the Fixed Asset process.
  • Updating trackers and gain PM approval.
  • Invoicing customers once approval is gained.
  • Completing monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting with the payment of supplier invoices.
  • Preparing and completing quarterly VAT submissions.
  • Assisting with annual internal and external financial audit.
  • Collating information for the preparation of the annual insurance questionnaire.
  • Supporting the annual budget and monthly forecasts processes, including accounting and reporting.
  • Completing project and business overhead cost variance analysis.
  • Preparing the annual PSA declaration, with support from HR.
  • Ensuring monthly/quarterly ONS form completions.
  • Undertaking any ad-hoc duties: petty cash, charities, awards, office records archiving.

  • Strong organiser with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Good IT Skills (MS Office, Excel and Word)

 

Qualifications required

GCSE grades A-C in Maths and EnglishA Levels or NVQ Level 3 in Maths, Humanities or Science subjects?
