The SAP Success Factors Global System Administrator supports QinetiQ’s people strategy, along with the associated processes and tools. This will allow our leaders to an Identify, Manage and Develop their people. This position reports to the Head of Digital Programmes, within the Business Transformation & Services function and is responsible for assisting in the development, configuration, implementation and maintenance of the SAP Success Factors system and will be the direct point of contact with SAP for all aspects of the evolution of the Success Factors capability.  As such, this role has responsibility globally across the QinetiQ Group.

You will ensure that our global HR systems and related procedures adhere to and further shape our organisational processes, work instructions and guidelines. In addition, you will assist in setting systems administration requirements, establishing governance processes, implementation, communication, and system security administration that support the company’s strategic objectives.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong desire to continually improve the relevant business critical services provided across the QinetiQ Group. You should be invested in learning and understanding the future developments in SAP Success Factors and any interfacing technologies to ensure that the services provided across the QinetiQ group are optimised for performance. You should also have the capability to ensure that any beneficial feature enhancements are fully leveraged into QinetiQ’s environment.

Responsibilities

Working within a digital centre of excellence the role requires the following skills:

  • Oversee the daily administration and maintenance of the SAP Success Factors system modules including but not limited to :- Employee Central, Recruiting & On-boarding, Learning, Performance Management, Compensation Management, along with Succession and Development.
  • Maintain system security roles, launch forms and manage supporting content (for example, profiles, forms, updates to notifications, templates, pick lists, settings, field labels, etc.)
  • Partner with the HR Leadership, global business process owners and other SAP system administrators within the centre of excellence to configure, maintain, and operate the environment to support our business processes.
  • Create and update system processes, procedures and support documentation for each regular SAP release.
  • Partner with other internal colleagues including Communications, I.T., and Security Etc. to enable the correct environment needed for system maintenance.
  • Work with SAP Success Factors and/or 3rd party providers to keep up-to-date on regular system updates. This includes reviewing system specifications, managing system changes and communicating updates to impacted stakeholders.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on system configuration and test workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to upgrades, releases, fixes, and enhancements.
  • Provide end user support to ensure adoption and ease of use.
  • Maintain system security roles, launch forms and manage supporting content (for example, profiles, forms, updates to notifications, templates, pick lists, settings, field labels, etc.)
  • Create ad hoc reports, tiles and dashboards.
  • Partner with other system administrators, business process owners and human resources business partners to ensure alignment and knowledge transfer.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability the system.
  • Monitor SAP/Success Factors integration(s), and any integrations to 3rd party vendor solutions.
  • Communicate planned systems downtimes.

Profile

  • Strong knowledge of Success Factors and the wider SAP product and systems landscape
  • Deep and broad understanding of end-to-end HR processes and the corporate systems used to support them.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions and approaches and make corrective changes in a diverse and evolving organisation
  • Proven track record in identifying best practice and delivering improved operational efficiency
  • Deep experience of developing and managing others and building effective relationships
  • Strong, communication, influencing and presentation skill
  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Effective management of potentially conflicting priorities from senior stakeholders
  • Leadership and capability development of diverse teams to meet specific objectives
  • Senior stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery of services and projects
  • Commercial process experience and demonstrable commercial acumen
