Responsibilities

  1. Undertakes integration, test and acceptance activities within a systems engineering context
  2. Engaging with customers, other stakeholders, and suppliers on specific integration, test, and acceptance matters
  3. Leading a technical team in support of project objectives
  4. Performing one or more of key integration, test and acceptance engineering process
  5. Directs technical documentation in support of work carried out
  6. Delivers work and reports on progress to project leads and customers
  7. Anticipates and escalates major problems with appropriate business and professional discipline staff
  8. Plans and structures own work
  9. Understands and applies relevant regulatory, safety and technical standards to work and supports compliance determination
  10. Responsible for managing the output of assigned junior integration, test and acceptance engineers

Profile

Experience and qualifications:

  1. Degree Level qualification or equivalent
  2. CEng or equivalent
  3. 4 – 7 years plus relevant experience in engineering or systems engineering

 

Particular skills/experience required:

  1. Knowledge on RN naval mine countermeasures operations
  2. Knowledge of RN naval MCM combat system equipment, especially command systems such as NAUTIS and/or ORCA
  3. Able to determine or devise integration, test, and acceptance engineering techniques appropriate to systems engineering problems
  4. Understands critical system and management considerations e.g. safety, security, cost, schedule
  5. Understands implications of legislation, requirements, specifications and constraints
  6. Able to conduct trials including at sea
  7. Knowledge of combat system equipment integration procedures
  8. Understanding of combat system equipment simulation and stimulation
