GDUK is engaged in a Reliability Growth Trials (RGT) Program for the AJAX family of vehicles. The RGT Program comprises operation of 9 vehicles from 4 variant designs through simulated Battlefield Missions (BFMs) to identify and correct failure modes. GDUK is seeking a Trials Manager to lead all activity for an assigned variant (or variants) at the test site on Bovington Camp in Dorset. The successful candidate will be a key player within the team who is prepared to lead from the front and work within a multi-national team and customer community. The individual will be required to lead a diverse team, working across geographical and cultural divides to execute an intensive test program with a challenging schedule.

Responsibilities

Purpose of Position

The Variant RGT Manager is responsible and accountable for all activities of his/her assigned variant including but not limited to:

  • planning/scheduling of test activity,
  • management of test execution,
  • management of vehicle repair and uplift,
  • data collection and reporting of incidents, etc.

The Variant RGT Manager will have a direct management role of engineering personnel as well as matrix management role of non-Engineering personnel assigned to the variant trials.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with customer team to define/refine the customer-owned Trials Activity Plan
  • Support development of internal test plans
  • Coordinate with Army site personnel to manage range/test area availability
  • Manage scheduling and execution of approved test activity
  • Plan and execute vehicle repair & uplift activity
  • Execute incident investigation activity and support root cause analysis of failures

  • Ability to work and forge sound relationships with project driven teams
  • Knowledge of military vehicle operation and/or maintenance
  • Excellent communications & interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to drive tasks to closure

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant field
  • Experience in leadership/management roles
