Responsibilities

As an R&D Systems Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on new solutions across a wide range of technologies. Your work will help shape where GD-MS goes in the future.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team and will play a significant part in the design and delivery of our solutions.

A typical day for you in the role will include:

• Undertaking system design, integration, verification and validation of R&D projects, networks and solutions.
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation
• Supporting the transition of R&D output to field trials and demonstration labs
• Active participation in the Agile development process.

Profile

You will bring your experience of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to the team and have the opportunity to propose and create new and novel solutions across a diverse range of technical challenges.

You may also bring some experience in the following:

• PTC IM
• GVA
• DDS
• Tactical network infrastructures and system management
• Experience off field trials, customer demonstrations and network deployments
• Safety-related aspects of engineering, including SIL
