We are currently looking for a well-motivated and proven self-starter to join our Defence Sales team, home-based with travel.

Responsibilities

Sales within Roke is a dynamic role and we require an individual with the ability to adapt to a high tempo, complex environment providing clarity and certainty to both our customers, partners and our internal business winning and delivery teams. Whilst every day will be different here are some of the aspects of the role you can expect from us:

Profile

As well as having previous experience in the application of CRM tools such as Salesforce, we are looking for an individual who has an understanding of defence information advantage landscape and associated technologies such as Cyber, Information Systems, Communications, Sensors, Cloud Computing, AI/ML or Data Science.

In addition to looking for someone with a high degree of teamwork, leadership & humility a selection of the below skills will make up the right profile for the role:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering £5m sales per annum
  • Demonstrable experience of building a pipeline of ~£15m per annum
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and winning deals in excess of £1m
  • Strong networks across the defence sector, DE&S, Dstl, Frontline Commands, Prime Contractors, Partners
  • Generating sales through proactive management of existing accounts and new business development.
  • Experience of winning business via different contracting mechanisms.
  • Respected thought leadership

Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC clearance. To qualify, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV.
