The department of Product Support is responsible for clever technical solutions as part of our availability products. Main topics are obsolescence management and reliability management. The Product Support group has a vacancy for a Reliability Engineer for our Bombardier CRJ and Dash 8 power by the hour programs.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Work closely together with Customer Support team and Supply Chain Management on addressed cases.
  • Provide customers, suppliers and the internal organization with Reliability performance insights/reports with focus on Warranty and CID.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple levels of the organization and with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Support the Repair Management with advice and support on a technical level.
  • Continuously evaluate trends to monitor the effect of improvement actions.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and determine countermeasures.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews by collecting, analyzing, and presenting data in an A3 standard.

General purpose of the position:

  • Monitor and improve the performance of Aircraft components globally managed by Fokker Services. Such as ABACUS programs and Repair Management.
  • Focus and case management for Warranty and Customer Induced Damage (CID).
  • Provide Engineering support assessing warranty and CID cases in order to convince both Operators, Repair stations and OEMs.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis, which will lead to corrective and prioritized actions to continue to improve the Reliability of repairable Aircraft components.
  • Create improvements across the Reliability playing field; customers, internal and external repair shops, component and Aircraft OEM’s.
  • Implement cost effective solutions, which are compliant to airworthiness regulations and monitor the effect of improvement actions.

Your profile:

  • Hands-on, thorough, analytical, tenacious and assertive.
  • An engineer capable to work on all technology cases like Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Fuel, Power Generating, Avionics (Electronic).

Job Qualifications:

  • HBO degree or working and thinking level (in a technical field).
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a technical, analytical role: have the ability to develop conclusions to complex analysis of aircraft systems, component and computing problems. Shows a “balanced” view, making effective use of all available information.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills (in English and Dutch). Ability to make effective presentations and reports to a wide range audience including management, technical, and non- technical levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Passion for technology. Shows technical and creative knowledge and expertise. Acquires new knowledge rapidly and follows developments in the field.
  • Strong team player. Works effectively and cooperatively with others. Actively shares knowledge and skills with others. Develop and maintain steady contacts.
  • Knowledge of reliability processes and analytical tools such as FMEA and RCA.
  • Demonstrated the competence to work independently with minimum supervision, self-starting and proactive and strong organizational skills. Must be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, set realistic goals, and complete commitment on schedule.
  • Experience on avionics and electronics is a pre.
  • Accountable with a can do mentality.
