Responsibilities

  • Provide security accreditation advice and guidance to NCI Agency Project and System Managers during the whole life cycle of NATO CIS
  • Conduct Security Risk Assessment in support of NATO CIS; in particular, identify the level of threats and vulnerabilities for all the assets comprising NATO CIS, derive the residual risks and provide risk management recommendations
  • Identify, plan, request and manage the development of required documents for accreditation (CIS Description, Security Accreditation Plan, Security Risk Assessment Report, Security Requirement Statements, Security Operating Procedures, Security Test and Verification Plan)

Profile

  • REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: NATO SECRET
  • The contracted individual must be able to perform effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • The contracted individual will be asked to develop security accreditation documentation for several NCI Agency managed systems

 

The required skillset for the contracted individual is extensive knowledge and experience (more than 5 years) in the following areas

  • General, wide breadth knowledge of cyber security principles, best practices, concepts and technology
  • Solid knowledge of cyber security, including boundary protection, encryption, identity and access management, monitoring and detection, incidence response, vulnerability assessments, and risk management
  • Familiarity with system accreditation and deployment of CIS, including deployment to operational military areas
  • Working experience with security risk assessment tools (e.g. PILAR, microPILAR)
  • Knowledge and experience in testing and validating that contracted deliveries meet the security requirements and fulfil the intended use-cases
  • Experience with implementation projects within NATO and/or National military organizations is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and in teams to achieve the desired goals, including the ability to monitor and support a team of industry
  • Excellent communications and writing skills in English.
