A position as a Tactical Data Links Integration Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid).

The successful candidate will join the TEAMC-TL4 department.

Responsibilities

This position will require several Integration activities for different Tactical Data Links (L16, L22, VMF, JREAP, etc.) and for several Aircraft platforms and Programs (Eurofighter, A400M, A330MRTT, c295, un-manned aircrafts, etc.).

• Analysis of top level System Requirements
• Analysis of current and future Communication technologies to be integrated in the System
• Proposal of best solution for each platform and Customer
• Specification of System functional requirements
• Definition of System Interfaces with other A/C Systems
• Low level development and integration activities monitoring
• Laboratory and Aircraft test results analysis, problems investigation
• Support to system qualification, verification, validation and certification activities

Most of the Contracts and Programs are International. Therefore, this position requires excellent communication skills, high level of English, active participation in international meetings, negotiation and teamwork capabilities.

Profile

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Educated in an University degree in Engineering, preferably in aeronautical Systems or similar
• Around 3 years of Experience in this area in order to assume tasks in an autonomous way with a minimum knowledge of the position
• Advanced level of Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Valuable knowledge in Engineering tools such as: DOORS, Rhapsody
• English: Negotiation level (most of the technical documentation and meetings are performed in English)
